A goober pea grows in Brooklyn

 An article in the Daily News today features a couple from Carroll Gardens (by way of Florida) who started selling goober peas (immature peanuts boiled in salty brine) on their stoop, and now they’re a hit at the Brooklyn Flea. Have any of you had goober peas, or these in particular? The down-home snack can be ordered from Brooklyn pea-boilers website at Boiled in Brooklyn.
